Wrapped in Yellow Feelings
15x11 mixed media
Another experiment. Started out with collage and thought I would do this painting using mostly watercolors. Wetted some areas and left others dry. Putaccent colors mostly in watercolors and a little fluid acrylics. Then used florist ribbon to make the dots.

Thanks Megha for your encouraging comments. Glad you liked my experiments. I liked your Rajasthani woman, too.Silvia
ReplyDeleteThank YOU for finding me, Sylvia! Sometimes it takes me awhile to click on the linked names in the DSfDF challenge blog. I was scrolling through this first page and am captivated by finding what I can see in your collage work. This latest has some people in it, to my jaundiced eyes! LOL The previous painting is so fabulous, bold and powerful strokes and colors. I also enjoyed both of your portraits, one of Rosemary and one of Karin. Your sister's work is wonderful too. What a talented family you have!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the good words. Keeps me going. Silvia
ReplyDeleteThanks all. The beauty of abstracts is that you can see what you want. Trust your instincts. My sister also thanks you. She does well with people.. Silvia
ReplyDeleteThis painting just draws one in. The colors are eye catching and bright but very pleasing. Normally I am not an abstract person, but you paint ones that really speak to me. Outstanding.
ReplyDeleteSil, you know if you put that turquoise color in the painting, I'm going to love it! This one is very fresh and happy! Sherry sees people in it? mmmm...I'm looking....
