Lavender Remembrance
15x22 collage
I have been wanting to do this piece for a while. I took a piece of watercolor paper and applied modeling paste to the support. After the paste dried, I applied the yellow watercolor paint and then a lavender acrylic layer. I had a piece of Sumie paper that I had stained and applied it as well as some other pieces of shiny paper and more Sumie in another color. Then, I floated the piece on watercolor paper.

I'm at a loss to figure out those instructions (my own knowledge lacks, not your description), but those colors are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSylvia, I love your creations. They're so mysterious, lovely in colors, exciting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time visit my blog and reciprocate. It was a delight to participate in KJ's challenges. Will miss them and getting to visit the blogs of the other participants. What a wonderful way to "meet" other artists. Thanks for your special words about my blog. They give heart to continue on, both in the art production and the blog. Ruth
Thanks for your comments, ladies. They are very encouraging. Actually, I just smeared Modeling Paste on the support system which was a piece of watercolor sheet. Then I colovered it with acrylic colors and then pasted some pieces of papers that I had painted before. I then had the idea to place the piece on a half sheet of watercolor paper.Silvia
ReplyDeleteOk Girlfriend, you are having too much fun! I love this palette and agree with Ruth that this one in particular is mysterious! Your collage pieces are always interesting!
ReplyDeleteOh - I forgot to mention that the name for this one is perfect!
