No. 195

18x24 multimedia

I began with fluid acrylic washes fairly diluted. I had a couple of pieces from Sumi-e poured sheets of colors and I tored out a couple with the copper color on them. I then poured many layers of more acrylic colors. When dried I added the specs of vibrant colors. It was an enjoyable piece

  1. This is a really strong piece here Silvia. I like the idea of physically adding layers. My mentor friend was explaining his process to me yesterday - a process not unlike yours - where he says it is a matter of action (adding the collage piece) and reaction - of working it into a finished piece. So very well done.

  2. Gary, thanks once more for your very encouraging comments. I appreciate them doubly coming from you. I really had not had anyone to encourage me in abstracts till now. I don't live far from your area. Perhaps we can meet and talk art.Make sure to come to a BRWS meeting. Thanks again, Silvia

  3. Makes me think of the deep interiors of something organic. This might be what an unborn child sees in her mind.
