Yellow and Red Floral Space

This painting is 16x20. It is a watercolor. The inspiration for the painting came from the beautiful lilies I have in my yard every June. I have had the photograph of these lilies for a long time, but decided to give it a different treatment from the regular flower painting.

On the Half Shell

This image is 6x6. It is acrylic on canvas. I have a series of 9 of this size that I am working on. I have been offered a one person show and I accepted. I am working hard to have as many paintings as possible. I need at least 30 which I have, but need to get up to 50. Am having fun. Have done lots of cut outs, too.

At the Beach

I am doing a series of cut outs inspired by Matisse. I thought it would be appropriate for my series Life with Papa, this one is called At the Beach. Again a reminder of childhood memories at our beach house. This is a 9x12 and it is made out of construction paper.

Life with Papa, Hopscotch

This is a small painting, a square one, a six by six. I entitled it Hopscotch in this series of Life with Papa. Just reminds me of all the many happy hours we spent playing childhood games. The painting is a mixed media work.

Blue and Pink Friends, from a series of Life with Papa

This is the first of a series I have entitled Life with Papa, but this one is called Blue and Pink Closeness. I wanted to celebrate my life as a child, which was a happy one. My father was a very colorful person and a very active person and he took us lots of places. He built us a beach house where we would go for 3 months every summer after school was out. We had a great time and got to play all the time.

This painting is done in mixed media. Measures 4.5 x4.5 . It is part of a square series of paintings .

Color Chase, A Contemporary Watercolor

Measurements are 15x11 in watercolors. Using the pouring technique I wanted to get a sort of caligraphy effect. I am now doing square paints and will soon be posting those. Am having fun pouring and using the wet in wet. Have also been doing some collages .
