Rock Phenomena

A mixed media collage which reminds me of a rock group, not a musical one, of course. There has been a rock slide around here which kept a major interstate unusuable in certain parts. Just imagining how it may look for an artistic point of view. Measure 15x11.

A Turning Point, A mixed media painting by Silvia Williams

An 11x15 painting. This is a mixed media from an old wc that didn't work. I painted gesso and molding paste over the colors, ran a comb through and discovered some colors underneath the comb scratchings.

Broken String, Mixed Media

7x11 multimedia
This is another painting based on music. I thought it reminded me of a violin string that has broken. Lots of layers and splatters and finally the black line. Such fun.

Musical Train

5x7 collage

This small work is a favorite of mine. I love music and listen to it a great deal. I also play the piano and have a lot of sheet music. I torn the collage paper and decided it would say more with a few notes.

New Photo

I tried to change the photo at beginning of blog, but was unable to do so. Am painting in this photo -not doing realistic stuff now.

Chinatown Abstract

15x11 multimedia

I printed the image out of focus because I like the feel of it. It has inks, watercolors, acrylics and comb use.

Fantasy Tapestry

15x22 multimedia

Yhis work went through a lot of washes in various media. I started wet in wet and after it dried, I painted layers of acrylics and watercolors with less water. Then, I thought it needed more color and painted colorful strokes with pastel. I also stamped and used inks.

Purple Wrapped around Turquoise

Ah 18x7 watermedia work

I liked the way the drop of color formed around the washes. Always with the images of sea in mind.

Blue Loving Red

18x7 watermedia

I combined these favorite colors using wet in wet and pouring. After the paint dried, I place the lines with FW white ink.
